Mozambique Accident: The news of a very sad accident has come to light from the South African country of Mozambique. 91 people have died after a boat capsized near the northern coast here. According to reports, the boat was on its way to an island in Nampula province with 130 people on board. But, this accident (Mozambique Accident) happened in between. It is being said that this boat was earlier a fishing vessel.
The boat sank due to carrying more people than it could carry
Officials said the boat sank because it was carrying more people than it could carry. Apart from this the boat was unfit for passenger transport. Many children were also among those killed. Despite efforts to save them, only 5 have survived so far. An operation is underway to find the rest but sea conditions are hampering the work.
Cholera and jihadist attacks also contributed to the crash

According to reports, Mozambique, which is struggling with a cholera outbreak, has reported nearly 15,000 cases and 32 deaths since October 2023. Because of this people are migrating from mainland Mozambique. Apart from this, the number of people fleeing from jihadist attacks in neighboring Cabo Delgado has also increased.
